HaMakom *
Can you recognize the mountain
a snow cloaked summit
which houses a voice
makes utterance like God
I fling off shoes
stand on hallowed place
where I embrace
the sacred
the common abandoned
never-ending happening
of sun standing static
in radiant spiral of rainbow
My name is hailed
and I roar
like blast within tempest
My prayer ascends the peak
I as minimal as one celled creature
hear I listen to words
with no sound and
answer with thought
A band of flame enfolds
and I too am begotten holy
